The social marketing focus is so strong that you could be leaving money on the table if you don’t get involved. So just from that perspective alone, the value of using a blog for your business should be apparent. You can use a blog to such huge advantage for your social media marketing efforts.

Its a proven fact that over 31% of consumers who use the internet consider a business blog as the most influential factor when it comes to making a purchase!

Reality Check:

If you cannot put aside the time to create a power blog then wait till you do. A great blog will make all the difference for you, leaving the competition in your dust!

So You must plan, create and schedule your content, It IS TIME consuming. So sometimes you may cut corners, here is the best way

You absolutely NEED a game plan before you even dive into creating a blog for your business. You can Steal Ours here.

Marketing your blog and business is a daily activity so you must set aside time for this.

Now, let’s look at some good reasons why using a blog can be so beneficial for your business.

[socialpug_tweet tweet=”Let’s look at some good reasons why using a blog can be so beneficial for your business. #Blogging #bloggingforprofit” display_tweet=”Let’s look at some good reasons why using a blog can be so beneficial for your business.”]

Why Have a Blog For your Business?

#1. The Social and Authority Factor:

The biggest benefit to being online with a business is the social aspect. Nothing beats a blog when it comes to interacting socially and with your readers and customers. In today’s digital era, your Blog will position you as an authority in your niche and its where you build the Trust too!

That alone is such a powerful aspect for any business, and here is why in case you do not know.

People usually prefer to deal with businesses they feel they can trust, so use your blog to build up this feeling in them. The way you do that is with customer comments and an email list if you build one, and you should.

To build an email, you need a simple form builder tool and we recommend Aweber for a start up, later you can add resources like leadpages to your List building arsenal as yo grow your business.

Find ways to encourage comments or questions so you can then interact with what people are saying. The easiest way to do that as a new blogger is to join Social syndication tribes. Most of these are on Facebook there are some on Twitter too.

In the beginning, we thought it was counter intuitive to get deliberate comments. Well that was until we had written over 100 posts and not a peep of interest from our “Target audience”.

Then we got off our high horse and joined other niche bloggers, started commenting on other people’s content, esp. authority blogs like Bloggingfromparadise by Ryan Biddulph. And Neil Patel’s blog. Talking of whom, this is what he has to say about blogging:

…it’s an art that’s really good for business if you do it the right way — and if you measure your success. ~ Neil Patel

We always look for the best and listen to them. Plus Ryan always said;  give, comment, be helpful and you will attract your tribe. (Or something to that effect). 😉

Soon we saw a steady rise in traffic to our blog and offers.

With that initial kick of social syndication on your content, you will find others who simply find your content on Social media picking up interest too as they see that someone else has shown interest.

It is all about psychology. Humans like to Follow where the crowd is…They are curious and inquisitive so they stop to take a looksee…The more eyeballs you get on your content the more traffic to your business offers.

Obviously for this to happen you have to spread the word about your new content. And we got you covered with our 19 Unique Ways to Promote your blog content. You can download it FREE here. You are most welcome 😉

#2. A blog for your Business – Drums up New Joint Ventures

Once your business blog starts to attract eyeballs and grows, then you can bet other business owners will notice. These business owners may include direct competitors as well. Still, it is good for these businesses to notice your blog because of this one reason. WHY?

Because some may reach out for collaboration. Esp. Social Influencers, who like to keep the competition close and build authority backlinks! 😉

This is what will happen:

Be prepared for new business owners that want to partner up with you.

Non-business owners such as guest bloggers might contact you as well if they find your blog interesting enough for them to want to contribute.

You can spend so much time improving your blog and you will notice your networking ability improving alongside your efforts.

So its very important to have a policy on Partnership and Advertising on your now popular Online asset. Aka your business blog. We get this a lot and we now get to pick and choose who we partner with!  See example below:

[socialpug_tweet tweet=”Be prepared for new business owners that want to partner up with you. #Blogforprofit ” display_tweet=”Be prepared for new business owners that want to partner up with you.”]

For you to attract the right kind of Joint Venture Partners who actually respect your hustle and Are Willing and Able to Pay you need to learn About Content Marketing, Branding, Social media marketing etc.

These things cannot be DIYed, you want to invest your time where its most needed. i.e. being the Creative Visionary.

In order to help you on this front we created the 4-C formula to your first 10k online so you dont take 5 years to attract the kind of business you started for.

#3. A Blog for Your Business – Build Community and Custom

When you create a blog for your business, it gives you a way to interact with customers.  But there is something else you should consider as well; There is also the ability to create a real community around your business. This is pure gold.

Ideally, you need to find ways to make your blog visitors feel a part of the community you’re creating.

When someone feels as though they belong, they tend to return time and again to see what else you can offer them. The people in your business community are also far more likely to refer other people to you.

Word-of-mouth advertising is very powerful, but best of all, it’s free advertising for you.

[socialpug_tweet tweet=”Word-of-mouth advertising is very powerful, but best of all, it’s free advertising for you. #bloggingtips #blogsuccess” display_tweet=”Word-of-mouth advertising is very powerful, but best of all, it’s free advertising for you.”]

Now to the real nitty gritty right? Okay if you build a blog for your business along the right precincts, you will Make Money.

In fact, you can easily make 1k+ Online. Instead of rehashing it all, we created a whole Resource for you FREE on the How Right Here!

Lets talk business, shall we?

When you weigh the choices of blogging or not, it is important to consider how fluid the web can be.

When you’re still learning the ropes of online business, it’s important to spend some time figuring out just what is possible for you to do. For example, policies can change overnight that could very well seriously impact your business.

Just recently we had the European Union GDPR laws kick into play, effectively ensuring every business owner in the EU is compliant or face some serious repercussions…We sure hope you are compliant.

If you aren’t sure, check out our comprehensive article on GDPR!

Often it is your marketing that is most severely impacted here, but there are other things that can have an effect too.

Conclusion

Your blog lets you interact with customers, which is good for building trust, but there are other benefits too.

You can tell the world what your business, product or service can do via your blog.

For this to happen faster, you need to have created a budget for your blog growth. Even your time has a Price.

If you do decide to use a blog for your business, be sure to have a specific area you focus your Content on, so you can build authority in that space/niche. We talk about Pinterest a lot.

Of course never underestimate the power of social marketing for your blog and brand growth.

In fact, creating separate blogs for any individual business ventures you have is a good idea.

Using a blog gives you the flexibility and convenience any business owner can benefit from. With so many advantages, it’s easy to see why more business owners are choosing to use blogs to increase brand awareness and growth.

Now if you have been blogging for a while, like we have, you may be making some of the branding mistakes we did so avoid those.

Otherwise, blogging is something we highly recommend for you the new business owner. So how about you?

Now if you find the whole process of creating a blog/website a little bit too much, fear not. You can ship the whole process of creating your Blog/website to our Professional team at Jules Web Design and we do the heavy lifting  for ya. Learn More here.
