Let's look at some good reasons why using a blog can be so beneficial for your business.
Why Have a Blog For your Business?
#1. The Social and Authority Factor:
The biggest benefit to being online with a business is the social aspect. Nothing beats a blog when it comes to interacting socially and with your readers and customers. In today’s digital era, your Blog will position you as an authority in your niche and its where you build the Trust too!
That alone is such a powerful aspect for any business, and here is why in case you do not know.
People usually prefer to deal with businesses they feel they can trust, so use your blog to build up this feeling in them. The way you do that is with customer comments and an email list if you build one, and you should.
To build an email, you need a simple form builder tool and we recommend Aweber for a start up, later you can add resources like leadpages to your List building arsenal as yo grow your business.
Find ways to encourage comments or questions so you can then interact with what people are saying. The easiest way to do that as a new blogger is to join Social syndication tribes. Most of these are on Facebook there are some on Twitter too.
In the beginning, we thought it was counter intuitive to get deliberate comments. Well that was until we had written over 100 posts and not a peep of interest from our “Target audience”.
Then we got off our high horse and joined other niche bloggers, started commenting on other people’s content, esp. authority blogs like Bloggingfromparadise by Ryan Biddulph. And Neil Patel’s blog. Talking of whom, this is what he has to say about blogging:
…it’s an art that’s really good for business if you do it the right way — and if you measure your success. ~ Neil Patel
We always look for the best and listen to them. Plus Ryan always said; give, comment, be helpful and you will attract your tribe. (Or something to that effect). 😉
Soon we saw a steady rise in traffic to our blog and offers.
With that initial kick of social syndication on your content, you will find others who simply find your content on Social media picking up interest too as they see that someone else has shown interest.
It is all about psychology. Humans like to Follow where the crowd is…They are curious and inquisitive so they stop to take a looksee…The more eyeballs you get on your content the more traffic to your business offers.
Obviously for this to happen you have to spread the word about your new content. And we got you covered with our 19 Unique Ways to Promote your blog content. You can download it FREE here. You are most welcome 😉

#2. A blog for your Business – Drums up New Joint Ventures
Once your business blog starts to attract eyeballs and grows, then you can bet other business owners will notice. These business owners may include direct competitors as well. Still, it is good for these businesses to notice your blog because of this one reason. WHY?
Because some may reach out for collaboration. Esp. Social Influencers, who like to keep the competition close and build authority backlinks! 😉
This is what will happen:
Be prepared for new business owners that want to partner up with you.
Non-business owners such as guest bloggers might contact you as well if they find your blog interesting enough for them to want to contribute.
You can spend so much time improving your blog and you will notice your networking ability improving alongside your efforts.
So its very important to have a policy on Partnership and Advertising on your now popular Online asset. Aka your business blog. We get this a lot and we now get to pick and choose who we partner with! See example below:
