Okay that might sound like gobbledygook to many, it did to me. So, lets simplify  shall we.

 

Why are you doing what you do, Building a business, promoting that product, service, a blog etc? The thing is, we all want more:

Time to enjoy the little or finer things in life

Freedom

Time Chilling out relaxing.

Money

But what brings all those things together? What’s the bigger picture? You now get it, right?

Let me share with  you my bigger picture and some more ideas:

Business Planning Secret #2: Choose 1 Goal, & Your Daily “must-do’s” to Manifest it.

The goal you pick must be the most meaningful to you, or would offer the most value to your business, career, or whatever you feel is highest priority right now.

Now for the fun bit…Do a brain dump.

So now you have downloaded the Power Tool above and every task you know is required to bring that big, amazing goal into your world. This is how real progress happens buddy!

Until I understood this, I used to waste hours on my PC being busy and almost became a serial trainee…Absorbing so much content and doing nothing with it. It took a kick in the teeth by my son asking me…

Mom when are you going to make some money with your blog? That I woke up…It was like a ton truck in my solar plexus…ouch! 

So when I say FOCUS, Write your Plan and Do The Needful, Money Making Activities, I know what I mean.

After you’ve written out all the things ya gotta do…Its time to Narrow it down and Prioritize. Think about what you NEED to get started right Now and complete over 12 weeks. Make a pact with yourself to dedicate 90 minutes a day to each of those tasks.

Business Planning Secret #3: Organize your budget.

You have to create your budget in the Last 6-8 weeks of the dying year! Or in the very first couple weeks of a new year or chances are, you’ll let it slip!

We do zero-based budgeting, which means you start from zero, and mindfully add everything back in. Rather than keeping the budget you already had the fiscal year before and simply adjusting. This helps you get rid of expenses you don’t need to be incurring, and it’s a good exercise for empowering yourself around your money.

So, start writing down your essential costs (mortgage or rent, food, business tools you use every day, coaching costs, etc.) and then work your way out, toward the amount you spend on entertainment, cool presents for your clients, etc.

Business Planning Secret #4:  Book your vacation and downtime!

If you want to make your biggest year ever, setting aside time for R&R for yourself is essential. Where do you really wish you could go? What are some ways you’d like to unwind?

Whether you vacation to re-energize, or simply to have a ton of adrenaline filled adventure…You need to plan it NOW! 

You should start envisioning that holiday already, if you hope to manifest it that is! 

Remember: a vacation doesn’t necessarily mean hopping on a plane to Europe for a month either. It can be a stay-cation, it can be a road trip with your family, partner, or your best friend, it can be a yoga retreat — whatever would make you feel best, and most excited!

Don’t worry about how you’re going to afford them, or get the time off just yet! But declare your intentions to yourself and the universe. It will amaze you how setting aside deliberate downtime helps you schedule your year, and dedicate your energy, actions and time to manifesting.

Business Planning Secret #5: Choose which Habits you want to Develop.

Habits are way better than resolutions, because you can form a habit in 21 days if you do the action daily. A habit will last if you can follow through for 30+ days. That’s why habits are such a big part of our JetSet Academy Coaching Year planner.

Its usually the case that most of us do, so do not be afraid to start small. 

Example: Say you’re eager to start a Fitness & Wellness practice. But, forcing yourself into HIITs for 2 hours every day probably won’t stick, unless you have been doing it already! Start with 25 minutes, then work your way up to 1 hour in a few weeks plus.

My morning success routine is quite on this path.  I used to jump out of bed like a loony, get into my jogging bottoms and off for a 45-1hr run. Instead, I meditate for 15 minutes, Speak or Listen to 5-10 mins Positive Affirmations. I stretch, have a glass of warm lemon juice and I am ready for that 30 mins 5K Jog! 

Then I read for 10-15 mins or 20 pages…I am now ready to face the day, starting with my Team Brainstorming session! I handle my emails and my first client session of the day…

Pro tip: Team up with an accountability buddy. It can be really helpful in keeping you on course when building success  habits.

Which brings us to the last concept that can help you really turn your new business year into an absolutely incredible year…
