In this episode, I share with you how to use Pinterest To Drive Traffic to Your Offers, products or services online in 2019 – You will learn how I use Pinterest to promote my websites despite the September Algorithm change!
This change has for many people had a downward spiral to their pinterest impressions and traffic per month.
These are some of my best tips on how to get traffic from Pinterest and how to use Pinterest for your website irrespective of changes on the platform.
There were some Pinterest algorithm changes last month. My viewers aka impressions went from 400k to 94k!
I thought is Pinterest traffic dead again? But then, the funny thing is I still gained followers, yet views and blog traffic went way down! 😱😢
Despite the Halloween season, lots of pro pinners have been reporting a drop in Pinterest traffic, reflected in the Lower Impressions as well.
I have noticed the same in mine and I hear the frustration and struggles of people with Pinterest.
Funny thing is; if you are new to the platform and are pinning a ton of FRESH NEW CONTENT, you may notice a spike in traffic instead. Like our client Sheila Balgobin the dream detective is seeing a real increase in interest to her pins.
It is kind of interesting and intriguing to learn this as well.
I know a pinner whose traffic has sky rocketed and according to her, she is 99% pinning ONLY her own content. Say out of 200 pins a week, she pins 190 her own pins, and apparently her business is booming.

Here is my Mini Pinterest Traffic Boosting Strategy:
- I’m focusing HEAVILY on optimization, better keyword research – and pinning on our OWN boards, I am all but ignoring group boards.
- Go Super Niche Slicing – keep some of your New Boards SUPER-NICHED. Be extremely intentional and focused about what exactly your account and boards are about. This is especially working for my coaching clients, content creators, and online marketers.
- Use a Tool like Tailwind and Schedule your content out like 2-3 pins / day, EVERY day, All year Round. Pinterest is a long-time game and you will see your traffic start to increase and Convert.
- Clean your old boards, do some housekeeping and declutter, yes do all the good stuff which you can learn in the Pinterest Growth Academy.
- Keep creating New, Value content, that is Serving your Target Audience. Track your actions & track some more. Something I keep saying in my VIP Mastermind. Test out some new things too. Consistency is the name of the game here.
If you have a bit of a budget, run a Pinterest traffic ad campaign to a cold audience and your aim should be to start with a minimum of 100 broad keywords. Although you can try to broad match and specific match at least 10% of those.
