This Post was First Published Sept 2014 and yet today I see exactly the same problem for New Marketers. So, lets give Objection Handling another twirl shall we?
As a mom of 2: at time of publishing a pre-teen and a full blown 16 yr old going on to 60…. I am always in a state of discussions and negotiations.
I have to deal with being the one that has to say NO sometimes. Then getting some seriously left side arguments and debates plus, sometimes surprisingly mature negotiations from these two little persons ( wow how time flies).
I think just yesterday I was changing diapers, walking them in strollers, reading them a bedtime story my son loved “The Bear.” By the time he could talk properly he could recite for you the whole story page by page like he was reading it… word perfect!!!
These days my son comes to me sometimes with a look …its kind of a cross between hope and apprehension as to my response to his oft times flamboyant requests!
He is Now a full blown teenager and when I say “No” he says and get this… I knew it “The Dreaded Objections.” When did I become a Baroness Thatcher…. I wonder! But I digress down memory lane.

How to Overcome the objections to your home business when you present it to your prospects. Its a learned art but its not hard.
My take on this is Pre-empt the objection Before it even arises. Before you Invite the prospect to Take a Look at your business information!
With practice you soon learn to present the solution to the objection or concern before it even arises that way pre-empting it and closing that deal faster!

Here’s the deal – sometimes it’s our fault as marketers when we get objections. Simply because the prospect may just have real questions. And we come across all defensive and hype it up for good measure.
Following your presentation, if your prospect asks a question or shares a concern “Both considered objections” in the industry, the worst thing you could do is get argumentative or defensive.
The Best foot forward that I learnt from one of our very first coaches was the Feel, Felt, Found approach.
You may have heard of it, and I teach it to our VIP mastermind Clients. That said here but its really important to remember.
“I understand how you Feel… I Felt the same way… Here’s what I Found.”
What happens is, when you share what you found, and insert A Story; could be yours personal story or a 3rd party testimonial. Either way, share a story that prospect/s can relate to and you have a chance to Collect a YES or NO. Both acceptable answers!
