Do Vision Boards Really Work? Let’s Create your Vision2020
Listen to this Powerful Podcast that compliments above video
Brief Summary – So do Vision Boards Really work? Vision2020
You do want 2020 to be very different from 2019, yes? So, are you definitely looking to do something different to Create your Vision2020 to manifest? Today, we investigate if a Vision Board REALLY works!
I walk you through the whole process of creating a vision board that really works.
Now many of you know I am a fierce spiritualist and Christian so let us start with the #Word:
Habakkuk 2:2 – And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
But what is a Vision Board, or Dream board? Again… ? Well I did share about it last month…right here.
A vision boards is essentially what you want to be/do/have in your life, downloaded from your mind into picture form that you can look at, in the digital world we live in today, it can even be a Mind Movie.
Reality Check: Visions boards work if you put in work consistently, and have an abundance mindset.
As I learnt when I first created one, it’s one thing to have a dream board, but if you don’t put in the work and aren’t accountable to YOU, it’s truly pointless.
You manifest (attract) those things that you Focus your thoughts on, write down and work towards.
So, the answer is YES, they work and I’m a true believer in vision boards, Dreams, Missions, GOALS.
Funny thing is, I never had one until 2014. I had the usual resolutions I wrote on a napkin on a drunken 31st Dec, and forgot what they were the next day.
I would wish for stuff and generally work every week to pay the bills and maybe have a vacation or 2. I wasn’t living intentionally or on purpose.
Nor was I truly setting goals and working my plan. UNTIL I started in the Home Biz space. So, hallelujah to this industry.
I’m on my 5th one, I had to create Vision2020 for my business.
I had a picture I downloaded from FB and added me and my hubby’s faces… Within 4 weeks of that we were with the EXACT other people in that Photo on a dreamy beach in the Caribbean, it was so surreal…
Visualizing, with a board or by closing your eyes and picturing and feeling your goal, helps reprogram our reticular activating system.
Since somewhere upwards of 90% of our decision making comes from the subconscious mind, vision boards, affirmations and the like, start training your subconscious of this desire and will allow you to see opportunities you may have once missed.
There’s science to back it, … Haha you thought I was making up woo woo stuff didntya ?
So according to some smart scientists, once your reticular activation system kicks in, your mind has to validate that you’ve made the right choice. This is when you start to notice the same colour BMW as you want so bad. You brain is filtering out the things that it thinks are more useful to you.
Sometimes this is called confirmation bias – if you’ve had a good experience with something, you’ll subconsciously look for ways to validate your experience.
Example: If you believe that rich people are arrogant, your subconscious will look for arrogant rich people to show you – And let the generous, philanthropic rich people slide past un-noticed.
So yes, I say go for it!
Do Vision Boards always work?
Yes and No.
Okay here is the kicker. You must be very intentional and specific about your ASK. Because you will get exactly what you ask for, I kid you not.
In the beginning I was wishy-washy, creating general boards and guess what, I did get that, wishy-washy results… So, my recommendation is BE more specific.
And you must add that special spice called EMOTIONS. Feelings MUST be involved in the making of that vision board and in the finding of the images that reflect your vision or dream.
And another kicker: No Action = No vision manifesting. See, action is the “Biblical Knocking.” As long as you take one action a day towards what’s on your board, you will get to the pot of gold at the end of that rainbow i.e. vision board. ?
Also, if you are not visual, maybe you are more the touch/feel type? You might prefer to “Script” or what most call Journaling. Writing in my journal and Winning Planner does work for me too, this is me doing the daily envisioning and tasks.
If this is you, do that instead.
So why doesn’t mine Work Julie?
Are you aligned with your vision?
Let’s assume your heart wants to be in a relationship with a man/woman who loves and respects you. BUT, in your mind you don’t trust (men or women).
This means you’re not in alignment with what you want. Thus, you must align your two minds to want the same thing! This is the inner work or shadow work as some call it.
You must align your two minds to want the same thing!
What to do for your Vision Board to really Work.
Every Day, say to yourself in the mirror: I allow myself to achieve my goals, to have my desires, to have a successful business, or anything else that you really want to have in your life?
One of the reasons that people don’t achieve their goals, or don’t even set them in the first place is that they don’t feel they deserve it and have not given permission to themselves to achieve those goals.
Now for a power manifestor yes, vision boards work every time. BUT, if you’re a not specific with your asking, then absolutely not!
A vision board is NOT a fun little craft project because that’s just not the way you call things in.
In fact without the right guidance it can actually delay and limit your full potential and what you really deserve.
So to avoid becoming frustrated with a vision board that doesn’t manifest your dreams, USE THE RIGHT TOOL & Guidance Right here.
Last words:
Energy flows where focus goes and results follow. So if a vision board will help you stay focused on what you are visioning for your life, then yes, it is a tool that can be a great asset to keep your focus on what is important.
A vision board is NOT a fun little craft project, its a Life Changing resource.

I absolutely LOVE vision boarding!
We absolutely do too 🙂
I made a vision board before, way back in college (Psychology class) as a school project. Our professor’s advice was to make sure the things we put on our vision board are close to reality. Like even if you dream of walking on the moon someday, you know that no matter how many photos of the moon you’d put on that vision board, it won’t give you that chance to actually be an astronaut.
Lol that professor was a realist trying to teach the spiritual Eileen. The two dont necessarily live in the same plane and so I say if one dreams of going to the moon, go ahead and do so coz we are waiting in intergalactic to go to the moon at only $100000 per person economy lol
i do vision boards every 5 to 10 years to keep track of my goals.
I have never created a vision board i totally should do one. so many of my friends do them they seem great.
bella, Do it or Do it 😉
I have never tried to do vision board, but I know people who do it. I think it’s cultural thing. I don’t know personally anyone who has one x
I’ve tried vision boards before and yes they do work but there is no magic in it! It is more like a mission statement and energy booster than anything else. My two cents.
I love vision boards! Having things visually laid out just keeps you on track and reminds you to focus on your goals!
They say you can be what you can visualaise to be. A vision board, thus, helps in putting visualisation on board… like brings the though to physical world. As per Rhonda Byrn’s book, The Secret, thoughts are physical matter. They do become true specially if you put them into words or write them down on paper. The vision board takes it one step further.
I believe in vision boards. Most of the time, I am able to achieve what I post there. It’s really empowering.
I love how you have a vision board and expectations. I should start doing that some day,
I always create vision board for every quarter of the year, and it works and sometimes no – I should concentrate on consistency more. Thanks for the encouragement
Look at the ones that dont work and seek deeper spiritual guidance Menaka.
Good to see you from the Pit Stop xoxo
What a beautifully visual way to plan a year!
Wow never create vision board! But now i think should try!
Go for it Rin 🙂
I’m so thankful for this article. I have big plans for this year and the article reminded me of using a vision board. I’ve heard a lot of positive feedback about using vision boards and how they can really inspire you to be an achiever.
“Energy flows where focus goes and result follows.” I love that.
I’ve never given much thought to Vision board, but after reading this, I’m going to try it. Thanks
You are most welcome Olufunke and That saying is so spot on 😉
Im actually obsessed with vision boards!
Bring em on Amber 😉
Vision board worked for me, miraculously in the past. I have made one this year. Believing and working towards it, I am sure it will work this year too!
I have never actually made a vision board before, but it is something that I would like to do for 2020. I agree with you though, it isn’t going to work or be successful unless you continuously work at the things on it. Thanks for sharing!
I have never created a vision board. Maybe I should create one? Nice idea.
i’ve never created a vision board. i should totally make one sounds like a great thing.
Get it done Bella 🙂
I should create a vision board. I have a lot of plans for this year, I have written down my goals, but didn’t actually put them up in a visual way, to look at them more often.
I’ve never created a vision board, but it is something I’ve often thought about and would love to do!
i made a vision board last year and i was able to fulfill everything i put there. but at least there is a guide. i believe it is still effective.
Wow Momi thats fantastic news 🙂
I totally believe that throwing your intentions out to the universe make a difference in actualizing your goals for the year ahead! Many thanks for the lovely reminder :).
