This question has popped up so many times in my Live Friday Q &A Sessions, Its about time I shared my tips in a blog episode. (Join me next Friday here)

Julie, How can I build my Network Marketing business on facebook, on my Profile without annoying my family or buddies? 

Plus recently a new marketer asked in a private Facebook group I am part of whether: its better to do his Facebook Live videos about his Network Marketing business on his page (With less than 100 likes) or on his personal profile? 

I say the latter 100%…

Yet, while I respect some of the people who answered him, one answer stood out for me and I love this person to bits. BUT…

Advising a newbie to build their NM business and even do Live videos via his page with less than 100 followers was just no good!

If you have tens of thousands+ of ENGAGED followers on your facebook page, you absolutely should do your Live videos and Business posts via your page.

But for a newbie, You absolutely must learn how to market your new biz via your personal profile and thats exactly what I teach in today’s episode.

Okay, now that you got the juice from the Video above, here are some things you absolutely must Consider…

Are you a network marketer or in affiliate marketing, Direct selling, home based type of business?

Then you will have this question top of your mind once you run out of Friends and family to share your exciting new opportunity with.

You will also have gone ahead and posted your new business all over your social media and maybe even as we go to post, you feel like Billy-No-Mates right now? In other words you just joined the NFL Club = No Friends Left  

Have you run out of friends, in fact they would rather cross the road than speak to you in person, because you spammed them with your new biz opp?

Well I have some good news for you and some not so good news my friend. 

Buckle up and take the meds…Posting your links and new biz opp all over your socials is a No-no and will only get you blocked, reported or downright spurned by those you care about and love…

Mainly because they dont see your vision! Others have been burned by a biz opp they tried before and didn’t make any money, s they think yours is similar to that and so they relate you their loss and so they dont want to know…and yet they are your Friends on Facebook!

Now thats the bad news, the good news is….

I am here to help you out on that front so lets get started…

 

 

How to effectively Build a Network Marketing Business with your Facebook Profile.

I know some leaders in the Network marketing industry rubbish social media and encourage their down lines and team mates to only focus on belly to belly networking. I can tell you from personal experience that Social media marketing works, if you work it right…

I built a team 98% from social media! 

We all know that once one runs out of people to talk to, you also loose stamina, interest, momentum and attrition is real! So because i dont want you to quit on your dream, I want you to…

Understand that Facebook is one of the best tools we have as marketers, yet most home business entrepreneurs are going about it the wrong way!

Also you need to understand that even if your family a d friends love you to bits, they alone will not build you the kind of income you dream of. Not even if they all buy from you, unless you have a huuuge rich family and your product is 6-figures a pop. 

So stop trying to recruit them into your gig and instead LEARN how to market and attract customers and new team mates. Our Private Mastermind may be a great help to you on this front! 

 

Now, lets get this strait. Don’t try to post only whats pleasing to your family or friends on your facebook profile.

Obviously you cant please everyone, its just not possible…AND there are people you really dont want to attract! Ask yourself: Am I called to serve and work with everyone? Of course not!

That said, as we agreed above, it’s absolutely essential that you set up your Facebook and social media profiles the correct way so you don’t put off your next potential team builder.

In my experience building our brand on facebook, I found that there are 3 rules of play that will help you create your desired success…

1- Build Relationships
2- Build Trust
3- Share Results and what got you there

So every thing you do and post on your facebook Profile needs to show you as someone others are happy to connect with and even buy from/join. Therefore the importance of setting up your Facebook profile for profit you must come from a place of Service and Integrity!

Ask yourself:

– Is this doing justice to my Core values, Is it true to my self image?  – Knowing the truth above do my posts in line with who I am and my target audience? – And the hard Question: Would I work with me? In other words, would you join you in your Network marketing business?

 
So how do you show your true authentic self via your Facebook shares and Let your family CHOOSE to hang around and even applaud you if they so wish?…Focus on the following:

 

 

What to post to Build a Network Marketing Business on Facebook With your Profile: 

#1. Leverage About Your Space – See image below, all the info below the profile picture is Prime real estate to position you as someone worth connecting with and following.

Brand You right there! Fill all that out, an opportunity for people to relate, connect, and get a better feel for who you are. They will also decide if they want to keep checking and receiving your posts. Thus coming back to your profile and of course learning more about what you do including your network marketing or any other business for that matter. 

One of the Spots allows you to give a kind of Job Description – Just state HOW you help others. The result they get! DO NOT lie or say you are a 7-Figure earner Top coach or some other thing that you actually aren’t. That is just bad karma. 

That said as my coach Ray Higdon says,

“Nothing wrong with teaching others HOW to do something even as you Continue to learn your trade.”

After all you were once taught by a newbie teacher!

 

#2. Lets Look at Your  Status Updates – There are a few types of status updates you can make to

A) Avoid offence and

B) attract people to want to work with you in your home based business.

 

I share the 5 most effective Status Updates below…

a. Lifestyle Updates – ever heard the saying: “Lifesyle Sells and Pictures speak 1000 words”? Well they are spot on with building a network marketing business with your facebook profile. But not the way you think…

Instead share pictures of you working in your home, outside in a beautiful park, setting, beach, town, cafe etc. Working outside on your laptop or tablet…while everyone else is stuck in a stuffy or cold office. Vacation photos, beach, camping, playing etc. You could caption it with;

“I Can’t believe I get to work in such beautiful settings…” or ” I feel so lucky and blessed to work from home on such cold day…”

 

b. Curiosity Posts – Instead of splashing your Product all over your Profile and putting people off…You know this because they get ZERO ENGAGEMENT…Right? Well Instead share a post that raises curiousity:

Example: “just started using a new Skin Care Product, pretty cool!” (Photo of your skin before and now)

No posting of your NM product pictures splashing the name on facebook and thus taking away the Curiosity factor. You lose posture, authority and any chance of sharing your business the right way with potential customers. No no dont..even think it…

c. Recognition and Accolades – With the right postured posting you will soon hit a rank. Or if anyone in your team does hit a rank, or milestone Celebrate this and share.

Any  achievement, share how excited, grateful, blessed etc you are feeling about it… Use those emojis, Facebook loves them! 

d. Gratitude Posts – Gratitude is such an under looked strategy in Business success. Yet its the key to any kind of manifestation. How about you show gratitude for all kinds of advantages in your business. Or because of it you get certain benefits…without mentioning your company or product name…

Allow the curiosity factor to bring people to your inbox to ask for more or in the comments!  

Example: “I’m so thankful I get to pick up my children from school, or watch my toddler grow ever since I started working this program from home.”

(You could talk about whatever it is you can do while others are at work in offices…voluntary stuff you get to do, your pets aren’t left home alone etc.)  Don’t forget to show photo of you doing said act/work. The idea is not to boast and annoy the office workers. You are genuinely being grateful for what you have, and wish to INSPIRE others to do the same.

So, spend some time in asking yourself WHY you started your Network Marketing business and What It can do for you. What you get to do NOW even before the expected income flows in and if it is, why not talk about that too!

Be genuinely thankful! SHARE the love and that authenticity will shine through and attract those looking for an opportunity for a side or full time income from home.

f. CELEBRATION posts – Now as a Network Marketer, yo are a team builder and even if you have 1 team member, do go ahead and acknowledge their every milestone. Even if its prospecting their first person.

Making their first presentation, doing their first Biz post. Doing their first unboxing video, hitting their first income check. Ranking up?

In other words, celebrate everything. Congratulate team members/partners and give them shout outs for progressing their business forward or hitting another rank.

Again, don’t mention company names or make a post that screams, “network marketing.” You want to make your team member feel good, create curiosity of others, and people will see how you treat the people you work with and want to be part of that. 

AND here is a Bonus, these people you celebrate will be rooted in the business, they will be motivated and Inspired to do more and build more. Their Success is your success. So Appreciate them. Love on them! 

Too many people feel overworked and under appreciated in their careers and business. 

 

 

How to Build a Network Marketing Business on Facebook, on your Profile – Final Words

Just remember that lots of people are watching you, whether haters or lovers or simply lookers on! So always ask yourself before you post on Facebook.

• Is this something I would want to see?

• Is there any real value or helpful information in this post?

• If I were to read this post, on another profile, would it turn me off Network Marketing or the opportunity?

• Does this sound pitchy or spammy?

Do use common sense, and Keep it Simple Sylvia (K.I.S.S), then you will attract those who are ready, willing and able to Buy from you or join your team!
